Word of the Day – Peace
Today’s word is very close to my heart. I don’t know when I became so inclined towards finding bliss in my life. Maybe, when I was suffering from depression and it became worst.
Some months ago my depression reached to the peak. For the first time I thought of an expert consultation. But before taking the last step, I thought of giving myself a second chance to have a deeper and closer look at the life I was living.
Maybe, it is depression that turned me towards finding blissful truths of life. I wanted to gather hope, I wanted to see what I have that brings happiness, I wanted to pacify my grief.
Meanwhile, I became quiet. Absolutely quiet. I stopped talking to my parents and sister; I only shared a few words in a whole day. I sobbed my pain inside and laid on bed like almost a span less creature. But one day I discovered, something is still there inside me that felt like home.
When I explored that newly discovered ‘home’ in me, I found it was a patch of peace. Strangely, I learned making peace with my pain. That great discovery led me towards finding blissful truths in life. I started studying Mindfulness, I concentrated more on my meditation rituals, and practice mindfulness.
Though I am still on my way of learning the art of mindfulness and being peaceful at every step of life, I can feel now I am calmer than before as I have learned to find bliss in my thoughts and emotions.
I know I have survived, I know I am safe. For I know I have peace by my side. I have peace to turn me towards light. I have peace in the home of my heart. So, today I am here to reveal a beautiful truth about Peace from my own realization. I hope you live a life filled with bliss and serenity.
Here begins your day of Peace.
The task of the day:
Find a place to sit that feels calm and peaceful to you. Preferably, choose a place that is close to nature, like near a stream of water, or a river, or a forest. The place should be away from chaos and noise where you can spend at least fifteen minutes with inner peace.
Now, close your eyes, have a deep breath, and relax your body. Breathe in and breathe out for five times.
Then, slowly, gradually, have a deeper look at your present situation. Whatever be the surroundings, try to find at least one thing that gives you peace of mind. Be calm with that one thought. Then, ask yourself these questions:
“What gives me peace? Where do I find peace? What does peace mean to me?”
Try to find a specific word that gives you a wave of peace.
Now, repeat the last question once again: “What does peace mean to me?” Try to find your own definition of peace. Be still. Be calm. Be peaceful.

Today, I feel cam. I feel peaceful. I have found where I can find some moments of peace. I have found what gives me peace. I have discovered what is the definition of peace for me. I can see peace in the blissful truths of life.
Write in your journal:
Today you need to write about your thoughts of bliss. As you gifted yourself a handful of peaceful moments, pen down your feelings and emotions. Whatever you felt and discovered, just write it down. It’s all about your experience, write it in your own way.
The last step of this process:
Before you leave the place, assure yourself by saying:
“Today, I found some time from the rush of life to spend some blissful moments with myself. I discovered to quiet my mind in a blissful way. It helps to heal the mind, body, and soul. I embraced peace and calm with all my heart. I will let this state of bliss stay with me for the whole day. I will come back tomorrow with a new purpose and try to learn a new way of living mindfully.
I am here to receive more peace and more calm in my life.”
